WEATHER CONDITIONS
The high-pressure system continues to bring hot and somewhat unsettled summer weather.
To begin with, the sun will shine across much of the region. In the afternoon, cumulus clouds will form over the mountains, leading to isolated heat-induced thunderstorms.
A south-westerly upper-level flow continues to carry very warm, but increasingly unstable, air masses towards the Alps.
On Thursday, the sun is set to shine widely again to begin with. In the afternoon and evening, thunderstorms will become more frequent. In some places, the thunderstorms may be severe.

Friday will bring a mix of sun and clouds, with a few thunderstorms again as the day progresses. Temperatures will drop by a few degrees. Saturday will be mainly sunny. The sun will shine on Sunday too. Isolated thunderstorms are possible again in the afternoon. On Monday, the weather is expected to remain slightly changeable, with sunshine, clouds and a few thunderstorms.
